RESTORATIVE TATTOOING

A person's chest with a floral tattoo featuring pink flowers and green fern leaves extending from the shoulder to the midriff.

Living with the memory of trauma, and the signs of trauma, is challenging. Hiding a part of the self from the world is a common response, and necessary at times, but can carry its own form of retraumatizing. What Restorative Tattoo offers is the opportunity to emerge from hiding, and a return to comfort, ease, and joy in being seen.

In this approach, we honor experience and loss, while gently healing and releasing the past. This is not erasure of the lived experience, but the creation of a new, chosen body identity. We work together, artist and client in collaboration, to create a visual expression of the self that is affirming and celebratory. I offer an in-depth, gentle, and patient consultation process. Through compassionate and attentive listening, applying careful aesthetic consideration, I work with you to create a path to healing. Together we restore normalcy, beauty, and confidence.

After having survived, or in the process of surviving, great harm and trauma, the client now deserves a restorative, positive, and affirming experience that moves beyond the clinical, while continuing to ensure physical safety. My practice is absolutely clean, safe, and proven.
